Senior Analyst, Account Management for Financial Institutions
Mastercard is seeking a commercially minded and highly analytical Senior Analyst to join the Account Management team supporting Financial Institutions in Spain. This role will help drive client engagement, sales effectiveness and business growth across Mastercard's products, services and solutions. Working closely with senior account leaders and cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will support the development and execution of client strategies, commercial initiatives and performance insights that create value for both Mastercard and its customers.
Role:
As Senior Analyst, Account Management, you will support the team's engagement with Spanish financial institution clients, helping ensure strong execution, high-quality client materials, effective internal coordination and clear visibility of opportunities, risks and performance. The role combines account management, business development, analytics and project coordination in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:• Own end-to-end account management responsibilities, independently driving client engagement, opportunity development and sales pipeline oversight.• Support account management and business development activities, including client meeting preparation, opportunity tracking, sales pipeline management and follow-up on key actions.• Assist in the development of account strategies, commercial proposals, business plans, marketing initiatives, quarterly business reviews and other client-facing materials.• Use data, insights and performance reporting to identify opportunities, risks and gaps, and translate findings into clear recommendations for senior account leaders and clients.• Collaborate with internal teams across product, services, marketing, operations, fraud, finance and other functions to support delivery of client commitments and Mastercard initiatives.• Help build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, supporting senior-level engagement, relationship mapping, events and executive meetings.• Support project management of strategic initiatives, ensuring activities are delivered on time, to a high standard and aligned with mutual business objectives.• Monitor customer satisfaction and support the delivery of solutions that enhance client profitability, revenue growth and long-term partnership value.
All About You:• Experience and strong interest in account management, sales, consulting, fintech, banking, payments or financial services.• Strong analytical, problem-solving and commercial skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, actionable insights.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create executive-level presentations and client-ready materials.• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with a client-focused mindset and confidence working with senior stakeholders.• Highly organized, resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.• Good understanding of business drivers across areas such as marketing, operations, finance, emerging technologies and digital payments.• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; experience with Salesforce, dashboards or business intelligence tools is beneficial.• Knowledge of the Spanish banking and payments market is preferred.• Fluent in Spanish and English.
