Summary:
In this role, you will empower and elevate Vizient's platform by integrating cutting-edge Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. You will shape how AI is embedded into the platform, ensuring that teams across the organization are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. You will collaborate closely with various teams, driving innovation, efficiency, consistency, and long-term empowerment through Generative AI integration.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized training on AI integration, ensuring that teams are fully equipped to leverage AI technologies effectively.
- Act as a consultant to teams building platform components, guiding them on the best practices for incorporating AI capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with the Architecture team to bring AI research into real-world applications.
- Develop a systematic approach to categorize AI-related ideas based on their scope and impact.
- Create and maintain AI design patterns that promote consistency and efficiency across various projects.
- Develop, enforce and refine policies and best practices that guide the technical aspects of AI solutions.
- Identify opportunities for workflow automation and implement solutions that reduce manual effort and streamline operations.
- Partner with the Architecture team in decision-making regarding platform direction and requirements.
- Lead the charge in exploring and implementing innovative AI technologies within the organization.
- Uphold and promote ethical standards in AI development and deployment.
- Advocate for and implement Explainable AI solutions that are transparent and understandable.
- Develop and execute strategies that empower Vizient and its stakeholders with AI, focusing on sustainable growth and long-term benefits.
Qualification:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Proven experience working with AI tools and technologies.
- Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or SpringAI highly preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, or JavaScript, with a strong focus on prompt engineering and agentic behavior highly preferred.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to deploy and scale AI solutions preferred.
- Experience working with AI tools and generative AI technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Agents, RAG and their development workflows and use cases preferred.
- Strong understanding of AI ethics, including bias mitigation and model explainability, with a commitment to implementing responsible AI practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with healthcare regulations and challenges preferred.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $168,800.00.
