Ferring+You  

As a Senior AI Platform Engineer/Architect, you will lead the design and the delivery of the Ferring AI Framework.  

You will collaborate with business functions, data engineers, data scientists and platform architects on AI and advanced analytics projects, by contributing to the architecture definition, by supporting the implementation and the operationalization of AI solutions. 

Your expertise will be instrumental in building Ferring’s data and AI platforms capabilities and defining architectural standards by following industry best practices and staying updated with the latest technology trends. 

As a Senior AI Platform Engineer/Architect, you will influence the high-level design and strategic direction of AI frameworks and solutions, ensuring they align with our business goals and Ferring’s mission to deliver life-changing solutions to patients at every stage of life.  

As we extend our data analytics capabilities and lay the foundations for a novel AI framework, you will collaborate with global stakeholders across different business domains.

Your day at Ferring  

• Lead the design, delivery, and maintenance of our technological ecosystem to support AI and data operations (e.g., MLOps, DevOps, DataOps, LLMOps). 

• Architect and implement the Platform AI Framework in collaboration with data engineers and platform architects. 

• Define and oversee AI strategy and model deployment pipelines, working closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and platform architects. 

• Mentor and guide junior AI engineers and data scientists in building, training, fine-tuning, and benchmarking machine learning and AI models. 

• Evaluate and select the most suitable AI technologies and frameworks to meet business needs and ensure optimal performance. 

• Manage relationships with technological and consulting partners to deliver the most effective AI solutions. 

• Ensure robust, secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions by working closely with the Infrastructure & Security team. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into AI-driven solutions. 

• Troubleshoot and maintain AI solutions and machine learning workflows in production, ensuring high availability and reliability. 

• Continuously improve the AI and machine learning infrastructure to ensure scalability, efficiency, and accuracy. 

• Ensure compliance of AI solutions with security, quality standards, and regulatory frameworks. 

• Provide strategic direction and support for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of AI systems. 

Behind our innovation…There’s you  

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. 

• 7+ years of professional experience in data analytics or AI roles. 

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL. 

• Experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn 

• Extensive experience in implementing CI/CD processes for AI projects (DevOps, MLOps, LLMOps, DataOps), preferably in Azure DevOps. 

• Proven track record of delivering Machine Learning, AI, and/or GenAI projects. 

• Proven experience in developing and deploying applications that integrate AI solutions, and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC). 

• Experience with the Databricks ecosystem. 

• Expertise in cloud environments and resources, preferably Azure. 

• Knowledge of object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patterns. 

• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 

• Experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform) is a plus. 

• Ability to design and implement scalable AI architectures. 

• Experience in leading and mentoring teams of engineers and data scientists. 

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
