Position Description:
Researches, develops, and implements quantitative Machine Learning (ML) methodologies to achieve business objectives. Deploys and manages applications in the Cloud and writes effective and scalable code. Develops back-end components to improve responsiveness and systems overall performance. Develops pipeline workflow tools (Luigi and Airflow) and creates software or specialized utility programs. Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior AI/ML Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing backend services in a financial services environment, using SQL.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior AI/ML Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing backend services in a financial services environment, using SQL.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) optimizing performance, reducing latency, and implementing efficient batch processing for high-volume data applications on structured and unstructured datasets using scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, Plotly, and TensorFlow.
DE performing relational and dimensional data modeling, and analysis of datasets for cross functional teams, using SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL developer, and big da-ta tools (Hadoop).
DE building and formulating data lake design patterns for data ingestion, processing, and ex-traction for personalization teams, using SQL, Python, Lambda, CloudFormation, and Glue.
DE developing and maintaining scalable microservice based Web-applications on Cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services (AWS)), using Java languages.
Salary: $141,600.00 - $154,000,00/year.
