Black Birch Technology Group is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on AI Automation Engineer (Senior) to design, build, and deploy production grade automation solutions for both internal operations and client environments.

This is an engineering focused role for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges through scalable automation, AI integrations, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate combines strong technical execution with process analysis, solution architecture, and client collaboration skills.

You will work extensively with Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, n8n, Dataverse, SharePoint, and Azure technologies to create intelligent workflow solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and support business growth.



RequirementsAutomation Engineering
• Design, develop, and maintain end to end automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate and n8n
• Build scalable cloud workflows integrating SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel Online, Dataverse, and external APIs
• Create reusable and productized automation frameworks deployable across multiple client tenants
• Develop automation standards, governance practices, and deployment documentation
AI & Generative AI Integration
• Integrate Generative AI capabilities into workflows using Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure OpenAI
• Develop AI powered solutions for document extraction, summarization, classification, validation, and decision support
• Configure AI assisted intake, reporting, and operational automation systems
• Evaluate and implement emerging AI tools and automation technologies
Power Platform Development
• Build and maintain Power Apps including canvas and model driven applications
• Design operational dashboards, intake portals, approval systems, and reporting tools
• Develop Dataverse solutions with environment variables and connection references for enterprise deployment
• Support integration between Power Platform and third party systems
Process Analysis & Solution Design
• Lead discovery workshops with internal stakeholders and clients
• Analyze current state business processes and identify automation opportunities
• Create Process Definition Documents (PDD) and Solution Design Documents (SDD)
• Translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions
Operational & Client Support
• Troubleshoot automation failures, integration issues, and system performance concerns
• Monitor automation health, reporting accuracy, and workflow optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including Operations, IT, HR, Security, and Client Services
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members when needed
Example Projects
• AI powered data consolidation workflows replacing manual Excel and email processes
• Automated document extraction and validation solutions with audit trail capabilities
• Outlook to Jira timesheet automation using calendar data
• Zero inbox email triage and auto labeling workflows
• Multi tenant Microsoft 365 reporting solutions through Lighthouse
• Productized Dataverse applications deployable across multiple client tenants
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in automation engineering, systems integration, or Power Platform development
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps
• Hands on experience with Generative AI integrations and API based AI tools
• Experience working with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, Outlook, and Dataverse
• Experience building and troubleshooting REST API integrations and HTTP actions
• Strong understanding of workflow architecture, process optimization, and automation governance
• Professional English communication skills
