The Senior AI Adoption Consultant plays a crucial role in navigating complex business processes and the rapidly changing opportunities and risks of AI. They strategically promote and facilitate the effective adoption of AI across Covestro, driving AI initiatives implementation in alignment with business objectives and IT architecture while mentoring junior team members.

Major tasks and responsibilities of position

AI Strategy & Leadership

• Lead the exploration, development, evaluation, and implementation of complex AI use cases
• Drive strategic translation of business opportunities and challenges into tangible AI applications
• Project responsibility in AI projects using agile and design thinking methods, from conception to realization

Stakeholder Management

• Lead bridging initiatives between business units, functions, and technical teams
• Drive alignment of AI capabilities with business requirements across multiple stakeholders
• Influence senior leadership and key decision-makers on AI strategy and implementation

Strategic Communication & Change Management

• Develop and lead comprehensive communication and engagement strategies for AI transformation
• Design and oversee training and support programs ensuring optimal AI solution adoption
• Lead change management initiatives across various user groups and organizational levels

Performance Analytics & Strategic Planning

• Lead measurement, interpretation, and communication of AI solution impacts using advanced financial and operational metrics
• Drive strategic documentation and knowledge management for AI initiatives
• Contribute to long-term AI roadmap and strategic planning initiatives

Qualifications

• University degree (preferably Diploma, Master's or PhD) in Technical Journalism, Business Process Management, Computer Science, IT Management or a related field
• More than Seven years of relevant work experience in an international environment and with virtual teams
• Extensive experience in the field of AI and related technologies
• Consulting experience in chemical or manufacturing industry preferred
• Proven ability to navigate a rapidly evolving technological landscape
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable AI strategies
• Demonstrated leadership in communication and engagement strategies for enterprise transformation
• Exceptional cultural agility and proven track record in multicultural, interdisciplinary environments
• Friendly and confident demeanor with the ability to interact and influence at all organizational levels
• Fluent in Chinese and English with exceptional presentation skills for complex technical and business concepts
• Travel to plants and different sites based on project needs
