Roles and Responsibilities
Regional Leadership & Global Agility
- Regional Focal Point: Act as the recognized senior technical expert for LATAM, providing engineering leadership to local Sales and Commercial teams to drive CM&U growth.
- Business Agility: Maintain a global perspective on aeroderivative fleet needs; adapt and reallocate engineering focus to support critical surges or high-priority technical requirements in regions outside of LATAM as business conditions evolve.
- Strategic Influence: Represent the company in regional customer forums and industry conferences, serving as the technical face of GE Vernova for the LATAM market and beyond.
Strategic ITO & Proposal Leadership
- Own the quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery of complex technical proposals, ensuring seamless alignment with unit configurations, regional customer requirements, and commercial quoting limits.
- Drive bid strategy in partnership with Sales to identify market opportunities, lead customer engagements, and provide high-level technical responses that differentiate GE Vernova solutions globally.
- Shape the future of CM&U offerings by tracking industry, technology, and regulatory trends; translate these insights into actionable product strategies for regional deployment.
- Develop and socialize advanced sales enablement tools — including standardized handbooks and technical value propositions — to drive regional responsiveness and efficiency.
Technical Oversight & Governance
- Provide senior-level technical guidance on CM&U scope, acting as the primary engineering focal point for internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Ensure full compliance with GE Vernova policies, international engineering codes, safety standards, and regional grid interconnection requirements.
Mentorship & Influence
- Provide technical and leadership coaching to junior engineering staff; foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the global matrix organization.
Global Quality Leadership & Process Innovation
- Global Quality Focal: Serve as the lead authority for Services ITR engineering quality, establishing and maintaining rigorous technical standards for the global CM&U engineering organization.
- Standard Work & Lean Roadmap: Lead the development and execution of the team’s Lean roadmap; drive the systematic optimization of standard work to reduce cycle times and eliminate waste across the ITR process.
- Digital Transformation & AI Integration: Spearhead the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced digital tools into existing engineering processes and proposal development workflows to increase accuracy, efficiency, and competitiveness.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion a "Quality First" culture by analyzing project feedback and operational metrics to drive institutionalized process improvements
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated knowledge in electrical and/or mechanical systems for aeroderivative gas turbine packaging.
- Proven ability to drive large-scale proposals and manage multi-disciplinary stakeholders across geographic boundaries.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally.
Desired Characteristics
- Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA.
- Fluent in Spanish
- In-depth knowledge of Aeroderivative products and CM&U life-cycle management.
- Advanced experience in developing Lean processes and operational standards.
- Proven track record in global matrix leadership; ability to influence cross-functional teams in diverse cultural and regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing digital/AI tools within engineering or technical sales environments.
