Position Summary:
Vintners Distributors is seeking a temporary Senior Advisor to provide high-level support to the Finance Department and executive leadership on financial analysis, business strategy, operational performance, and special projects. This role will help evaluate business opportunities, strengthen reporting capabilities, and support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions activity, through the end of the calendar year. The Senior Advisor will use advanced analytical tools, including AI-enabled reporting and data analysis, to identify trends, improve forecasting accuracy, and provide actionable insights for leadership. This position is best suited for a strategic, analytical professional who can work independently, partner across departments, and contribute to a fast-paced, multi-brand retail and operations environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior-level financial, operational, and strategic analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Develop and enhance financial models, forecasts, dashboards, and performance reports for leadership review.
- Use AI-enabled tools and data analytics to improve reporting accuracy, identify trends, automate insights, and increase efficiency in financial analysis.
- Support mergers and acquisitions-related projects, including due diligence, market research, valuation support, financial analysis, and integration planning.
- Conduct research and compile financial, operational, and market data to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Partner with finance, operations, real estate, and other cross-functional teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and recommend improvements.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, summaries, and recommendations that clearly communicate findings and business impact.
- Support process improvement initiatives that enhance financial visibility, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
- Assist the Finance Department with ad hoc strategic projects, analyses, and reporting needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or advanced business education preferred.
- Prior experience in finance, corporate strategy, business analysis, consulting, mergers and acquisitions, or a related advisory role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced Excel, financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience using business intelligence, reporting, or AI-enabled tools to analyze data, improve reporting, or generate insights.
- Ability to interpret complex financial and operational data and communicate recommendations clearly to leadership.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, judgment, confidentiality, and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, investment analysis, or strategic growth initiatives.
- Familiarity with financial systems, business intelligence platforms, data visualization tools, or AI-assisted analytics tools.
- Experience in retail, convenience store, fuel, food service, real estate, or multi-unit operations environments.
