Bring complex work to life—earlier, safer, and smarter. The Senior Advisor Program Planning and Optimization is a senior execution enablement role for professionals who thrive at the intersection of planning and field delivery. You will play a meaningful role in accelerating a multi‑billion‑dollar brownfield pipeline and facilities portfolio by unlocking execution readiness, aligning diverse collaborators, and turning plans into projects that reach in‑service dates sooner.

This role exists to drive real outcomes—not reports—by identifying risks and opportunities early, optimizing sequencing and site layouts, and ensuring engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and investment decisions come together to enable safe, accelerated execution across multiple states and provinces.

Does this sound like your next career opportunity? If so, then apply today!

What You Will Do:

  • Identify and actively drive program‑level risks and execution opportunities that improve schedule certainty, capital efficiency, and business value.

  • Accelerate in‑year capital execution by pulling work forward, advancing ISDs, and enabling early execution through collaborator alignment.

  • Lead site layout and spatial planning, using GIS and plot plans to manage congestion, sequencing, and resource constraints.

  • Integrate engineering, construction, operations, supply chain, project controls, and sponsors to bridge planning with field execution.

  • Engage investment owners to evaluate scope, schedule, and capital trade‑offs and ensure commitments translate into in-service results.

  • Own execution readiness across a large, multi‑year portfolio, ensuring work is mature, aligned, and ready to advance when execution windows open.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or technical diploma or related construction or operational training and/or experience.

  • 7 years of experience supporting execution of pipeline or facilities projects, with accountability for scope, schedule, or execution outcomes.

  • Highly skilled at working across subject areas and organizations, influencing and aligning partners to move work forward.

  • Deeply knowledgeable in brownfield execution within energized electrical systems or pressurized, operating pipelines.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, proactively identifying solutions, and getting results in fast‑paced environments.

  • Adept at evaluating schedule and capital trade‑offs to enable early work, optimize sequencing, and increase execution certainty.

Working Conditions:

  • 85% Office environment.

  • Up to 15% for travel to the field for site visits. Overnight travel may be required as well as the need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Valid passport is required.

  • Stress levels can be above normal as planning work is deadline oriented (outages, ISDs, highly visible and numerous activities are conducted concurrently).

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:

  • Ranges from $105,000 - $140,000/yr USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.

Benefits:

  • A flexible benefits program that allows each employee to select the level of coverage needed for their family in the areas of health, dental, insurance and disability.

  • A paid maternity and parental leave benefit that offers up to 20 weeks of paid leave for birth-giving parents and up to 12 weeks for other eligible parents, providing flexibility and support during this important life event.

  • Valuable retirement savings plans, including a savings plan with company stock as an investment option.

  • Paid time off/vacation/sick, plus paid personal days off (depending on location), and paid holidays.

  • An Employee and Family Assistance Program.

  • A Wellness Program, which focuses on supporting healthier employees by providing tools, resources, and opportunities to improve physical, mental, social, and financial well-being.

  • Enbridge’s FlexWork (hybrid work model) offers eligible employees (Manager and below) the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, opt for a compressed work week schedule, or have flexible start and end times. Role requirements determine your eligibility for each option. #LI-Hybrid
