The Sr. Advisor Onboarding & Transitions Specialist is a critical, multi-functional role within the Manulife Wealth Business Development organization. The role supports new advisors joining Manulife Wealth and provides key onboarding and transition support to existing advisors across Canada. This position reports to the Manager, Advisor Onboarding & Transitions and directly supports the initiatives being managed and the accompanying change management.


Position Responsibilities:


• Conduct proactive outbound calls to potential advisor recruits, effectively communicate the Manulife Wealth value proposition, and secure appointments for follow-up conversations with field leaders and recruiters.

• Execute the end-to-end recruiting process and support recruiting, contracting, transitions, and onboarding for advisors moving from other firms to Manulife Wealth and other wealth lines of business, ensuring minimal disruption to their businesses.

• Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new advisors, including account setup and integration with existing systems.

• Support new advisors as they transition their books of business to Manulife Wealth Inc. and other wealth lines of business.

• Collaborate with team members to implement best practices and improve overall efficiency.

• Partner with key stakeholders to ensure all new advisors receive comprehensive training and support during their transition period.

• Develop and maintain recruiting, contracting, and onboarding materials and resources to facilitate the process.

• Provide personalized support to advisors during their transition, address challenges, and help ensure smooth integration.

• Implement innovative solutions to streamline processes and enhance advisor satisfaction.

• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including recruitment, training, compliance, and IT teams.

• Ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the onboarding and transition process.

• Provide continuous support to existing advisors, addressing their transition needs throughout their careers.


Required Qualifications:


• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, onboarding processes, and deadlines.

• Proven ability to implement and deliver solutions in complex environments with competing resources and constraints.

• Ability to thrive in a high-profile, high-pressure, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment with limited resources.

• Exceptional data-entry skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage relationships and escalations effectively.

• Strong knowledge of technology used by advisors, including back-office systems, portfolio-management tools, financial-planning software, and how these systems support an advisor practice.

• Experience managing vendor relationships.

• Ability to travel across Canada approximately 30% of the time.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in the financial services industry, preferably with an IIROC- or MFDA-regulated firm, is an asset.
  • English:Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.
  • Post-secondary degree.

Salary range is expected to be between

$73,725.00 CAD - $122,875.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
