Senior Administrator - Corporate Actions (Income)
Cape Town, Apex House
Description
To manage and process income distributions, ETF dividends, and various other Corporate Actions across client portfolios. Ensure accurate entitlement calculations, timely processing, reconciliation of positions and cash movements and effective communication with all parties involved.
Job specification
Distribution processing:
- Process interest payments, income distributions and capital gains distributions
- Validate event details received from custodians, issuers and market vendors
- Calculate and reconcile client entitlements
- Monitor market deadlines and payment dates
- Investigate and resolve distribution breaks and exceptions
Reconciliation and control
- Perform daily reconciliation of cash movements and income receivables
- Identify and resolve unmatched items within agreed service levels
- Escalate material breaks and operational risk
- Client and stakeholder communication
- Respond to client queries
- Provide status updates on outstanding queries and exceptions
Risk and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with market regulations and internal procedures
- Maintain audit trails and supporting documentation
- Implement ad adhere to operational controls and risk management standards
- Participate in operational risk reviews and root-cause analysis
Reporting
- Produce monthly distribution reports
- Monitor aging of outstanding exceptions
- Provide management information on event volumes, risk indicators, and service delivery metrics
Swap Income Control Process

- Receipt and review of cashflow report

Skills Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Investments or related field;
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Portfolio administration, Corporate Actions, Asset Servicing, and Fund services;
- Preference will be given to applicants who have Asset Management experience, an understanding of Corporate Actions, an understanding of Financial Markets, and a proven record of accurate data capturing

- Ability to identify discrepancies in cash distributions and share allocations
- Ensure high levels of accuracy in processing and reconciliation
- Maintain strong control over operational risk
Analytical thinking
- Ability to investigate breaks, exceptions, and entitlement variances

The Senior Administrator - Corporate Actions (Income) will report to the Manager – Corporate Action based in Cape Town.
