What you’ll do
Are you a customer service minded individual who feels a sense of accomplishment when you can solve a problem which has a successful result? In this integral role on AlixPartners’ Corporate Services team, you will directly support multiple consulting professionals. Responsibilities include coordinating deadlines, analyzing, and handling sensitive information, and playing a critical role in handling confidential information requests. Support will include making meeting arrangements, managing business and personal calendars, domestic and international travel booking, expenses, time entries, and case documents. Light travel is anticipated.
The Administrative Senior Professional role is a full-time position located in Southfield, MI, and reports to the Administrative Team Lead. Paid relocation is not available for this position.
- Manage complex calendaring, prepare business travel itineraries, and process expense and time reports.
- Anticipate needs, prioritize responsibilities, effectively handle calendar conflicts, and proactively manage schedule changes.
- Create/edit/respond to correspondences, process invoices, draft engagement letters, and create presentation materials.
- Plan and execute client events – technical and logistical support, tracking RSVP’s, on-site administrative support, etc. Some travel is expected for event implementation
- Distribute assessment material in coordination with several outside vendors for client projects, running reports, purchasing licenses, and managing communications as pertains to each vendor assessment.
- Attend team calls and annual team meeting, take notes, collaborate with the team on industry initiatives, client retention, and pitch materials and cross-community selling campaigns.
- Handle sensitive and urgent information from clients, exercise judgment in responding to unique and urgent situations, as well as in managing and reporting outstanding requests.
- Manage stakeholders’ contact lists, updating as necessary in the CRM.
- Strategically and effectively coordinate with both internal and external constituents.
- Balance multiple priorities by considering risk, importance, urgency, political impacts, and other linkage. Assimilate unfamiliar issues rapidly, anticipate and resolve potential problems.
- Provide back-up support for other administrative team members.

What you’ll need
- High School diploma or equivalent required, college degree(s) preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of administrative assistance experience required; experience with a professional services firm strongly preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with high attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and respond in urgent situations.
- Exhibit sound judgment and common sense while making decisions.
- Ability to maintain composure and an executive presence under pressure in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Resourceful and can anticipate needs while proactively managing schedules.
- Ability to be discreet and handle confidential, sensitive information.
- Self-starter with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Ability to work well under pressure, while maintaining an executive presence, in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, while meeting deadlines and responding to urgent situations, as required.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

- Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
- Ability to travel 10%.
