We are growing and seeking a talented, forward-thinking, and highly motivated actuary to join AmTrust's Commercial Lines Actuarial Pricing team. If you are an ACAS, or close to achieving your designation, and enjoy working collaboratively to solve complex problems, develop strategy, and drive meaningful results, we’d love to hear from you. This is an exciting time to join as we build out and rapidly grow our BOP product.

Responsibilities
  • Support profitability analysis and rate indications for BOP portfolio.
  • Analyze results by state, industry, and other key business segments, and provide actionable insights to product management and business leaders.
  • Recommend rate changes and other strategic actions to achieve an appropriate balance between profitability and growth.
  • Provide actuarial support for rate filings, including responding to regulatory objections and ensuring compliance with state insurance requirements.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and business implications to Product and other stakeholders to drive alignment and support decision-making.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards and monitoring tools to track BOP performance and key business metrics.
  • Monitor economic trends, competitive market dynamics, and industry benchmarks to inform pricing strategy and business decisions.
Qualifications
  • BS, BA or higher degree
  • ACAS or close and pursual of FCAS
  • 4+ years of property-casualty commercial lines insurance experience
  • BOP or GL/Property pricing experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical and communication skills are a must
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, and SQL. R or Python knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to build strong relationships and enrich our positive team culture

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • ACAS designation or close to achieving ACAS, with pursuit of FCAS
  • At least 4 years of property-casualty commercial lines insurance experience
  • BOP or general liability/property pricing experience
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, and SQL
  • Knowledge of R or Python
  • Ability to build strong relationships and contribute to a positive team culture
