As a Senior Active Directory Consultant, you will support enterprise customers across the DACH region in designing, building, and securing modern hybrid identity platforms based on Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
You will work on high-impact identity and security transformation programs, helping organizations modernize legacy Active Directory environments, strengthen identity security posture, and respond to identity-related cyber challenges in complex enterprise landscapes.
This role is based in Romania, with flexible hybrid or remote working options.
Your responsibilities
- Design and implement complex Microsoft Active Directory environments, including cross-forest migrations and hybrid identity architectures with Microsoft Entra ID.
- Work on identity-focused security and cyber remediation projects, with emphasis on identity protection, threat mitigation, and secure access design.
- Act as a trusted advisor across the full project lifecycle: architecture, implementation, migration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Define and promote best practices for hybrid identity architectures (on-premises and cloud) and enterprise identity security standards.
- Conduct Active Directory security assessments, including tiering model design, hardening strategies, and attack path/vulnerability analysis.
- Collaborate with Microsoft in joint workshops, technical deep-dives, and solution delivery initiatives.
- Share knowledge within the team and contribute to internal enablement, including mentoring and supporting junior consultants.
What you bring
- B2/C1 German and strong English communication skills for customer-facing work.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Identity & Access Management and Microsoft Active Directory environments.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft identity technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
- Practical experience with hybrid identity architectures (on-premises + cloud integration).
- Solid understanding of identity security concepts such as AD tiering models, hardening methodologies, privilege management, and attack path analysis.
- Experience with Active Directory troubleshooting, migrations, and enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong consulting mindset with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with AD security analysis tools such as BloodHound or similar.
- Experience in cyber incident response or identity-related security investigations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft security frameworks and identity best practices (Zero Trust, Secure Access principles).
- Experience working in Microsoft partner ecosystems or close collaboration with Microsoft.
- Experience in mentoring, technical leadership, or acting as a senior contributor within IAM or infrastructure teams.
