JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Ensures the financial/accounting management of suppliers. Organises, monitors, controls, and reports on administrative and financial activities following internal standards and the company's overall strategy.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of the general accounting.
• Resident expert on the AP and AR systems.
• Provides assistance and/or coaching to junior accountants.
• Completes complex reports in an accurate and timely manner and according to business controls and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Researches and verifies discrepancies in a current and accurate manner.
• Prepare internal and external audit schedules and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
• Processes the accounting data used for drafting the balance sheet and accounting statements.
• Assists with month-end close.
• Assist with the implementation of accounting systems as necessary.
• The scope of the position will include a wide range of difficult and complex problems.
• Collaborates directly with other departments.
• Work is assigned in terms of objectives.
• Review of work results is based on objectives at predetermined milestones.
• Work is more complex with difficult situations requiring investigation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field is required. Master´s degree highly desired.
• 5 plus years of experience.
• Experience in the automotive industry or related field preferred.
• Good Knowledge of SAP ERP Systems.
• Must have intermediate- to advanced-level software skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills required.
• Good English language skills (spoken and written).
• Proficiency level Portuguese (spoken and written).
• CPA (OCC) or CMA a plus.
