This is an exciting opportunity to work in the expanding Global Business Services Organisation, in a company considered a global leader in its field. The successful candidate will join the Record to Report (RtR) Accounting Operations Team. They will be deadline driven, with an excellent ability to learn and grow. The candidate must be able to prioritise and work at pace in a corporate, multi-task environment. Computer literacy and attention to detail are essential.
The successful candidate must have experience in RtR Accounting Operations Analyst roles, be able to work independently, and be passionate about process compliance in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, business requirements and applicable government regulations. Candidates must demonstrate a thorough approach to completing processes, with the ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in data. They will pride themselves in communicating openly.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounting journal entries for monthly close transactional activities, including but focused on to: Accruals & Payroll, General Accounting and Fixed Assets
- Manage construction in progress, in partnership with business contacts
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations for high-risk general ledger accounts
- Knowledge in Reporting and Controls role, particularly on Oracle/HFM Reporting
- Annual supplemental reporting to Corporate through Hyperion
- Support requests from external and internal auditors as well as various groups company-wide
- Assist in maintenance of documentation of policies, procedures and controls. Ensure compliance with Corporate Accounting policies, procedures and controls (Sarbanes-Oxley Act)
- Preparation and submission of government and other agency return, including but not limited to government statistics returns
- Drive and participate in process improvement initiatives
- Complete ad-hoc projects as requested

Skills Required
- Experience in Record-to-Report (RtR) Accounting Operations roles
- Prepare monthly close journal entries including accruals, payroll, general accounting, and fixed assets
