Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of monthly, quarterly and annual close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Oversee the accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax and payroll processing functions, stepping in to assist where needed
- Complete day-to-day treasury functions
- Partner with Revenue Operations and Customer Success to implement processes for accurate invoicing
- Assist with preparation of data reconciliation between CRM (Salesforce) and billing system (Maxio)
- Work closely with People Ops team to understand expected changes to headcount and related accounting impact
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and other financial reporting schedules required by executive leadership team
- Coordinate with subsidiary accounting personnel to maintainan accurate understanding of subsidiary activity and intercompany transactions
- Review monthly subsidiary financials to ensure intercompany transactions are accounted for correctly and eliminated upon consolidation
- Support budgeting and forecasting through collaboration with FP&A and department leads
- Coordinate with third-party tax service providers in preparation of annual tax returns to ensure deadlines are met
- Coordinate with auditors for completion of statutory audits where applicable
- Identify and implement changes to the close process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain and enhance internal accounting policies
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and active CPA license
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Highly detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple, disaggregated tasks and bringing them to completion
- Skilled in financial reporting and analysis
- Experience leading a financial close process
- Experience in overseeing G/L functions (QuickBook experience is a plus)
- Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution in a lean, dynamic team environment
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the software or SaaS industry
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with foreign operations or accounting for foreign currencies
- Knowledge of tax law and regulatory compliance
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive Base Salary: $105,000 - $130,000 based on experience and location.
