SUMMARY: Senior Accounting Manager oversees complex accounting activities, including month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Close Process Leadership: Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Compliance & Audit: Coordinate with external auditors and ensure financial records adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing budgets and tracking financial trends to support decision-making.
- Team Support: Mentor, guide, or supervise junior accounting staff and improve accounting procedures.
