As a Senior Accounting Analyst at PEAK6, you’ll be integral to maintaining and improving the firm’s processes and procedures by collaborating with some of the sharpest minds in the investment and financial industries, to advance the firm’s position as an innovative leader in the industry. Working in the Finance team at PEAK6 means that you’ll always be presented with a variety of new possibilities as you continue to enhance your skills.

As a member of the Finance Team at PEAK6, you’ll have a big impact on the firm by adding your financial and accounting experience to our organization and its employees, in a rapidly growing environment and team. While some areas will be the same each month we are looking for someone to bring their experience to our team and shake up the norm. Additionally, our diverse business streams affords you the unique opportunity to grow across a variety of verticals, engaging you in unique challenges, projects, and technologies. This role will support two growing business and drive improvement of all accounting and finance functions.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead, prepare, and review monthly credit card account reconciliations for multiple cardholders and entities.

• Monitor and resolve credit card transaction discrepancies, communicate with cardholders to resolve issues, and ensure adherence to company policies.

• Coordinate with Accounts Payable and other departments to investigate unreconciled items or policy violations.

• Maintain accurate records of credit card usage, receipts, and support documentation for internal and external audits.

• Assist with timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Analyze and reconcile assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external reporting.

• Lead or participate in special accounting projects, including process improvements, new system implementations, and policy updates.

• Conduct data analysis, identify issues and trends, and recommend solutions for greater efficiency and accuracy.

• Assist with the development, documentation, and implementation of new accounting procedures and controls.

• Support internal and external audit requests, providing information and documentation as needed.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls, and relevant regulations.

• Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Procurement, IT, Operations) on accounting-related matters and process enhancements.

• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports for management as required.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required

• CPA or equivalent preferred

• 5+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance

• NetSuite experience is a plus

• Adaptive Insights experience is a plus

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency in expense analysis, intercompany, fixed asset, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and financial statements development

• A tech forward approach to managing day to day tasks – we love to automate and make things more efficient and so should you!

• Ability to navigate ambiguity – you won’t know everything and that’s ok! But the ability to research and use your resources is key.

• Desire to take ownership of projects and ideas, while being able to identify gaps and other areas of improvement.

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and every-changing environment – we are in high growth mode and move quickly to achieve business goals.

• A strong desire to partner and collaborate with various teams across the organization.

• Diligence, attention to detail and strong excel skills.

• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Work Environment

• This job operates in a remote environment.

• This job operates overnight, Manila local time (Monday - Friday US Central Time from 9 AM to 5 PM CT).
