- Lead and execute monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies;
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions;
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and international guidelines (e.g., IFRS);
- Partner closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A teams for cross-functional alignment;
- Support external and internal audits, including preparation of documentation and responses;
- Monitor and improve accounting processes, driving efficiency and automation;
- Review journal entries and ensure proper documentation and support;
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports;
- Proactively identify risks and propose solutions to strengthen controls and accuracy.
What you need to shine in this role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- +4–6 years of experience in accounting or audit (Fintech experience is a plus);
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or local GAAP);
- Experience with month-end closing and financial reporting;
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite);
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally;
- High level of ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills;
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
Bonus points if you have
- Experience in fintech, payments, or fast-paced tech environments;
- Knowledge of multi-entity and multi-country accounting operations;
- Experience with process improvement or automation initiatives;
- Experience working with shared service centers or global teams.
