We are hiring for our client, a leading organization within the insurance sector, seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance and reporting team. This is a strong career opportunity for a finance professional with expertise in IFRS reporting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced corporate environment.


The role will play a key part in supporting financial reporting, IFRS 17 implementation activities, reporting automation, and audit coordination, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across finance processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Assist in developing and maintaining IFRS 17 workflows, reconciliations, accounting policies, and reporting templates
  • Build and enhance IFRS 4 to IFRS 17 reconciliation processes and automation initiatives
  • Develop chart of accounts mappings, ledger postings, and reporting structures aligned with IFRS requirements
  • Participate in reporting process automation and data transformation initiatives using MS Office automation tools
  • Analyze financial data, variance reports, and reporting metrics to support management decision-making
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit and reporting requirements
  • Support regulatory reporting activities and respond to financial data requests when required
  • Assist in preparing dashboards, management presentations, and ad hoc financial analyses
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives focused on reporting accuracy, efficiency, and compliance governance
  • Support operational readiness activities, reconciliations, and reporting controls


Key Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA are highly preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit roles
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting standards, including IFRS 17 exposure
  • Prior experience within insurance, financial services, or multinational environments is highly desirable
  • Arabic speaker is mandatory
  • Strong analytical and financial reporting skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly advanced Excel and reporting automation capabilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a deadline-driven environment
  • Interest in process improvement, automation, and reporting transformation initiatives


Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA)
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit roles
