Key Responsibilities
Bank & Client Money Reconciliations
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank and client money accounts.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances.
Ensure full compliance with DFSA Client Money rules.
Revenue Recognition & Intercompany Transactions
Raise and manage invoices across SPVs.
Monitor and reconcile intercompany balances between corporate and client money accounts.
Accounts Payable & Expense Management
Record supplier invoices upon receipt.
Manage supplier payments (cheques, online transfers, petty cash).
Prepare monthly accruals (e.g., EOSB, depreciation, prepayments).
Reconcile credit card and petty cash balances.
Review overhead costs and ensure accuracy of expense allocations.
Payroll & Reimbursements
Manage monthly payroll and employee expense reimbursements.
Ensure accurate accounting of all HR-related financial transactions.
Tax Compliance
Register SPVs and the corporate entity for UAE Corporate Tax and VAT.
Maintain FTA portal data and file tax returns on time.
Monitor VAT thresholds across SPVs and ensure compliance.
Prepare and file VAT returns quarterly, ensuring timely payments and penalty avoidance.
Audit Support
Assist in preparing audit documentation and liaising with internal and external auditors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
Experience in financial services in the UAE, especially with client money reconciliation, is required.
Strong understanding of UAE tax regulations and DFSA reporting standards.
Proficient in accounting software and Excel (Google Sheet); experience with multi-entity accounting is a plus.
Attention to detail, ownership mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
