This job is remote for people located strictly in Romania.
We are looking for an experienced Senior GL Accountant to join our team and contribute to the success of the organization.
The ideal candidate has solid expertise in US GAAP accounting practices, advanced knowledge of Excel and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role in international corporations.
In this position, you will have a significant role in performing month-end accounting procedures, review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, support audits and internal controls, etc.

Responsibilities:
Perform general accounting activities, including month-end close procedures and posting journal entries;
Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy;
Prepare and analyze P&L variance reports, highlighting key drivers and discrepancies;
Support audits, internal controls and compliance initiatives by preparing schedules and compiling supporting documentation for auditors.
QualificationsExperience working with companies reporting under U.S. GAAP;
Knowledge of NetSuite/ other similar accounting systems;
Extensive Excel knowledge;
Experience/ background in corporations;
3+ years of experience in a similar role;
Proficient in English (knowledge of multiple languages is a plus);
Strong understanding of internal controls processes including documentation, testing, monitoring and reporting;
Combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred;
High attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough account reconciliations and analysis.
Schedule: 8 hours + 1 hour lunch break anytime between 14:00-01:00 Romania time
