Job Title: Senior Accountant


Department: Finance Department

 

Reports To: CFO

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  1. Responsible for the monthly analytical review of the financial statements according to the defined standards for both companies.
  2. Together with the Staff Accountant prepare and review the monthly general ledger reconciliations for CRI and Outreach.
  3. Supervision of Accounts Payable, adding new vendors as needed.
  4. Assist in the preparation of DDS midyear and annual ICF Cost Reports. Assist in the preparation of the OP-Plan, COR and the Cost Reports and submit for review.
  5. Review the recording of all fixed assets and their applicable depreciation.
  6. Assist with the year end audit.
  7. Review the monthly payroll reconciliations for both companies and submit for review.

Prepare the giveback spreadsheet monthly for review no later than the 15th work day of the month.

  1. Assist with the preparation and documentation of Finance Dept. operating procedures.
  2. Responsible for tying the monthly attendance to the revenue entry and creating a MIP upload.
  3. Maintain the Visa and Gulf gas accounts, ordering and cancelling cards as needed.
  4. Supervise the quarterly individuals’ funds audits process, training staff as necessary.
  5. Assist the Finance Department with any state reporting requirements other than those mentioned in #4 above, including external audit requests.
  6. Prepare timely and accurate month end reports including the P&L, BS, bank recs and any other report as assigned.
  7. Supervise Staff Accountants, and assist in training new accountants.
  8. Any other job requirements as needed.








 JOB REQUIREMENTS 

 

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other related area within the Financial field.

Should have at least 5 years experience in the accounting field. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience creating and utilizing various spreadsheets. Knowledge of MIP Accounting software a plus.


Personal: Must possess strong analytical skills and be able to take initiative when given a project. Must be highly confidential when dealing with various aspects of the position based on the subject matter.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related financial field
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet creation/utilization
  • Experience with general ledger reconciliations, month-end close, P&L and balance sheet preparation
  • Experience with payroll reconciliations and fixed asset accounting/depreciation
  • Ability to assist with audits and state reporting (including cost reports)
  • Knowledge of MIP Accounting software
  • Strong analytical skills, initiative, and ability to handle confidential information
