The Senior Accountant is responsible and accountable for-
- Preparing monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliation; reconcile subsidiary ledgers and back activity to the general ledger throughout the month and prior to period-end close
- Analyzing general ledger accounts and financial results, including variance analysis, account detail support, gross margin performance, labor utilization, and inventory overhead absorption
- Preparing monthly financial statements and budget-to-actual variance reports for assigned divisions/business units
- Developing and managing annual budgets for assigned business units
- Maintain fixed asset records and software, including depreciation schedules and reporting
- Maintain the company’s ASC 842 operating lease schedule and related accounting
- Preparing divisional sales and personal property tax returns and maintaining divisional business licenses
- Preparing audit workpapers and supporting the accounting team during external audits and vendor pre-qualification processes
- Preparing additional financial reports and analyses as requested by the Controller, CFO, or President.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience and other requirements-
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent accounting experience required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with high volume of processing
- Detail orientated
- Experience with construction specific ERP systems preferred
- Proficient with use of MS Office suite with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Familiarity with financial reporting software, to include Power BI
- Team player with excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Skills Required
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent accounting experience
