Job Summary:
This position will support the accounting and financial operations of our growing commodity businesses, specifically focused on operating expenses, as well as other IGS Energy ancillary businesses. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and insight across the IGS businesses.
Primary Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Audit
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in line with GAAP
Analyze variances and provide explanations to management
Support external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
Accounts & Transactions
Process journal entries as directed by the Accounting Manager and monthly reconciliations, as assigned, including but not limited to:
Bank Reconciliations
Operating Expenses
Sales/Cost of Sales
Accounts Receivable
Accrued Purchases
Accounts Payable
Analysis & Stakeholder Support
Provide support for budgeting/forecasting processes and corporate tax data requests
Collaborate with partners across different business segments
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
Qualifications:
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (or working toward) preferred, but not required
Experience
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Utility accounting experience is a plus
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Great Plains) and AI tools is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently without close supervision and collectively with team members, internal and external business partners.
- Thrives in fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Flexible and able to adapt to ongoing change.

Salary Range:
$72,420.00 - $115,870.00*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
