The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s financial systems while serving as a strategic partner to the business., overseeing financial records, and ensuring strict compliance with tax and legal requirements. This role involves managing complex accounting processes, preparing high-level financial reports, and supervising junior staff to support the firm’s fiscal health.
Financial Management & Operations
General Ledger: Manage the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation using accounting software (QuickBooks/ERP).
AP/AR: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, generating aging reports and coordinating timely collections and payments.
Taxation: Lead the preparation of financial statements for tax purposes.
Banking: Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
Reporting & Analysis
Insights: Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to senior management.
Data Interpretation: Analyze financial data and legal documents (contracts/leases) to provide actionable insights and resolve critical findings.
Quality Control: Ensure all recording of transactions adheres to international and local accounting standards.
Leadership & Coordination
Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to Junior Accountants.
Collaboration: Act as a key liaison for internal departments (Operations, Finance) and external stakeholders (Auditors, Tax Consultants, and Vendors).
Requirements
Education & Experience
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in Accounting.
Industry: Prior experience in Real Estate, Construction, Property management, or a related field is highly preferred.
Technical Competencies
Advanced Skills: Financial Reporting, General Ledger Management, Reconciliation, and Financial Analysis.
Software: Mastery of Excel/Google Sheets and professional Accounting Software.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
