Role Context
Tilia will operate with its own P&L, while integrating into Thunes’ reporting, treasury, and governance standards. In the payments context, Finance is an operational finance function that ensures settlement integrity, reconciliation accuracy, revenue tracking, and scalable reporting.
This role will build and lead a finance function covering financial reporting, revenue operations, invoicing & collections, reconciliation, and bank account management.
Role Purpose
- Owning payments finance operations: reconciliation and settlement integrity.
- Building and delivering monthly BU reporting and P&L management aligned with Thunes reporting standards.
- Driving planning and forecast discipline aligned to FY26 growth targets.
- The Senior Accountant will report to the Head of Finance of Thunes USA
1. Financial Reporting & BU P&L
- Prepare monthly P&L and executive reporting for the Tilia BU.
- Interface with Thunes finance to ensure reporting and governance alignment.
- Own pipeline tracking, revenue forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Partner with Sales and Product to support pricing models and contract economics.
- Prepare and issue invoices in line with contract terms.
- Track collections, resolve disputes, and ensure receivable health.
- Own reconciliation for pay-in and pay-out flows with partners and customers.
- Drive process improvement and automation to reduce reconciliation discrepancies.
- Manage settlement-related (including safeguarding account) bank accounts and ensure best practice controls.
- Partner with Thunes Treasury and Finance to optimize liquidity and settlement processes.
- 6-8 years finance experience, ideally in payments, fintech, or processing environments.
- Strong understanding of settlement cycles, reconciliation, controls, and payments revenue recognition.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and executive-level reporting for scaling businesses.
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong controls and governance mindset.
- Operational rigor, process improvement orientation, and automation mindset.
- Able to balance startup build velocity with regulated business discipline.
- Confident interfacing with Group Finance and senior executive stakeholders.
