Great Hill is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our federal customer.
Basic Qualifications:
- Seven (7)+ years of experience in accounting, with at least three (3) years in federal or DoW government accounting
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and federal accounting standards (FASAB)
- Experience with general ledger, subsidiary ledger, and budgetary/proprietary account reconciliation
- Experience preparing adjusting journal entries, including corrections to accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Working knowledge of OMB Circular A-136 financial reporting requirements
- Experience supporting financial data calls to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., DFAS, OSD, OMB)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with a minimum of 24 semester hours in Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
Desired Skills:
- CPA licensure or CDFM/CGFM certification
- Experience with GFEBS financial accounting system, including journal entry processing
- Experience calculating PP&E depreciation and maintaining asset records
- Experience supporting indirect cost models and reimbursement analysis (G-Invoicing, IPAC)
- Experience supporting financial audit sample preparation and documentation
