We are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in executing a fast, accurate, and well-controlled financial close. This is a role for someone who doesn’t just follow a process but seeks to improve it. You will be empowered to own complex technical areas while partnering with the Controller in identifying and supporting the evaluation and implementation of approved system enhancements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Close Ownership: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Ensure the general ledger is accurate, fully reconciled, and supported by complete, audit-ready documentation.

  • Reconciliations & Reporting: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, perform flux and variance analysis, and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Systems & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and close efficiency using existing systems and tools. Partner with Finance and IT to support enhancements and implementation of approved solutions.
  • Audit & Compliance Support: Support external audit requests, prepare schedules, and maintain well-organized documentation. Assist in maintaining internal controls and audit readiness appropriate for an Emerging Growth Company (EGC).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across the business to support the evolution of the financial tech stack to support improvements to financial systems and reporting processes that enable more timely decision-making.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience. You understand the rigor required for SEC-level reporting and are comfortable navigating complex GAAP standards.
  • You have a deep interest in financial systems, ERP optimization and the latest in AI productivity tools. You have a proven ability to translate accounting needs into technical requirements. You aren’t afraid to support the rollout of new tools or automation initiatives in partnership with Finance and IT.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.

Other Relevant Skills and Experience:

  • CPA (or active pursuit of CPA) is highly preferred.
  • Experience in public accounting or a high-growth SaaS environment is highly valued.
  • Experience with modern ERPs (NetSuite, Sage Intacct), low-code automation tools (Zapier, Power Automate), or BI software is a major plus.

Compensation for this role includes:

  • Competitive salary with opportunities for growth.
  • This position is eligible to participate in our annual performance bonus program and our equity incentive plan.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a 3% non-elective employer contribution (ROC contributes 3% of your salary automatically, regardless of your individual contribution level).

This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to a cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning company where you will collaborate with a team of experts to support state-of-the-art products that serve a wide range of industries. ROC believes in a healthy work / life balance, and pays particular attention to employee needs and wellbeing.  ROC provides employees with unlimited PTO, a flexible work schedule, and a hybrid work environment.
