Role Overview
The Senior Accountant role is a critical role in the accounting organization, helping develop and execute crucial accounting process and policy aligned with US GAAP and US Government Contract Accounting (i.e., FAR regulations). The Senior Accountant will support end-to-end full cycle accounting processes and reporting, both internal and external. This role will report to the Senior Accounting Manager with daily interactions with multiple other departments and frequent updates with the VP of Accounting and VP of Finance.
What You’ll Do...
- Execute end-to-end monthly Accounting close activities for all Beehive Industries Divisions – including GAAP accounting and record-keeping, GL maintenance, financial reporting, internal controls, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support Controller and Accounting Senior Manager in publishing and maintaining core accounting policies and procedures over travel, procure-to-pay, rev-rec, billing, lease accounting, and asset acquisition
- Support continued efficiency improvements and maintenance of the company’s ERP, NetSuite
- Support VP of Accounting and Accounting Senior Manager in preparation of financial results and executive level reporting for Monthly Business Reviews, as well as Board of Directors presentations as needed
- Help oversee and coach AR / AP Analysts in execution of supplier invoicing, cash application, and customer collections
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships with key department leads including FP&A, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations
- Support Controller and 3rd party advisors to enable tax compliance and accounting; ensure timely tax filings and payments

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA preferred; master’s degree in accounting is a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting; public accounting experience is a plus,
- Heavy manufacturing or industrial background is preferred
- Big Four public accounting experience is a plus
- US government contract accounting experience is a plus
- Must have experience with NetSuite or similar ERP environment
- Advanced skills required in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability and willingness to reach out inter-departmentally to ask hard questions to drive process improvement

- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $90,000-$118,000 base salary. Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
