The Senior Accountat will lead key components of the accounting cycle including complex reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. This role plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, while supporting audits and process improvements across the finance function.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Prepares and reviews journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for complex balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Leads portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
- Supports preparation of financial statements and variance analysis for management reporting.
- Assists in the development and enforcement of accounting policies and internal controls.
- Coordinates with auditors during internal and external audit processes and provides required documentation.
- Partners cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and other teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and data flow.
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or progress toward certification preferred
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and internal control principles
- Strong command of operational accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems NetSuite is highly preferred (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP) and financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with cash accounting, fixed assets, operational accounting and payroll accounting with close management and reconciliations.
