What you will be doing:
Ongoing Accounting
• Posting of all business transactions (incoming/outgoing invoices, bank transactions)
• Accounts receivable and payable accounting (AR/AP)
• Maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger (GL)
• Posting of travel and expense reports
• Support with administrative tasks such as reconciliations and balance confirmations
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Statements
• Preparation and compilation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Creation of accruals and provisions
Tax Obligations
• Preparation, review, and submission of tax returns:
o KDV (Value Added Tax): monthly
o Kurumlar Vergisi (Corporate Income Tax): quarterly
o Gelir Vergisi (Income Tax): twice yearly (if applicable)
o Stopaj (Withholding Tax): monthly
o Damga Vergisi (Stamp Duty): monthly
• Communication with the Vergi Dairesi (Tax Office)
• Submission of e-Beyanname (electronic tax forms)
• Monitoring of statutory deadlines and review of tax assessments, including potential appeals
Cooperation with the Tax Advisor (SMMM)
• Close collaboration with the external Serbest Muhasebeci Mali Müşavir (SMMM) for the official signature and submission of tax returns
• Preparation and organization of all tax-relevant documents for forwarding to the SMMM
Reporting, Controlling & Administration
• Support during tax and statutory audits
• Administration of social security contributions (SGK & payroll)
• Proper archiving of vouchers and tax documents
• General administrative activities in the finance area
Key skills required:
• Degree or vocational training in finance and accounting
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in a national/international environment in accounting
• Strong knowledge of Turkish tax law, especially with e-Beyanname, SMMM, and tax authorities
• Proficient in SAP
• Structured, independent, and responsible working style
• Excellent Turkish language skills and strong knowledge of English
