About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing core accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, and contributing to timely and compliant reporting.
The Senior Accountant will handle complex reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities while supporting financial reporting and process improvement efforts. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates strong technical accounting skills, and enjoys problem-solving across multiple accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations.
  • Assist with audit preparation, tax compliance, and annual filings.
  • Partner with the different team members to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of all state and income tax obligations.
  • Maintain and update state tax calendars to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain and file annual reports with the Secretary of State to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Partner with the payroll team on various state tax and reporting requirements.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
  • State and payroll tax experience preferred
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel; experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, or technology environments preferred.

Additional Information

  • Employment type: Full-time and long-term. W2 Salary.
  • Salary: $75,000 - $85,000.
  • Location: Open to remote in the US, working on ET-CT time. 
  • Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
