The Role

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join our Finance Department within a fast-paced payments and electronic money environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the company’s accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all finance operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Finance Team Lead and other team members to ensure the smooth execution of daily finance operations;
• Perform and/or review day-to-day accounting activities, including postings, procurement, payments, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
• Support the preparation and closure of the monthly management accounts and financial reports;
• Contribute to the preparation and review of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and industry best practices;
• Assist in the coordination of external audits and regulatory reporting requirements;
• Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and EMI regulatory obligations;
• Identify and recommend process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy;
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members;
• Perform any other related duties as required to support the efficient running of the department.
  

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (University Degree, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 2-3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Previous Big 4 experience and/or experience in the EMI/payments industry will be considered an asset
• Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central) and strong Excel skills will be considered an asset;
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail;
• A proactive team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills, eager to learn;
  
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines;
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
