What you'll do
- Support the month-end financial closing process for several EMEA entities, including posting journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and performing variance analyses
- Work closely with the corporate accounting teams to ensure well-documented, accurate and timely financial closings
- Local accounting operations management
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual statutory audits to ensure timely and accurate filings
- Assist during the annual corporate audit with any international requests of documentation and testing
- Evaluate and manage appropriate revenue and cost sharing arrangements between international operating subsidiaries
- Support internal control and compliance initiatives
- Work as an “agent of change” to help lead the company through the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of uniform accounting-related operations, processes, and procedures
What you'll bring
- Relevant knowledge and experience in Accounting and relevant education/qualifications
- Accountancy practice experience preferred
- English proficiency required for the role
- Software company experience or any experience of SAAS and cloud-based companies preferred
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP preferred
- Work experience for a subsidiary of a US-based parent company is a plus
- Experience in local GAAP/IFRS
- Project management skills – ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects from start to finish, incorporating feedback from multiple sources
- Ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong analytical skills
