The Senior Accountant in Inventory Accounting will be responsible for the accurate and timely performance of various assigned functions in support of the month-end close and reporting process related to inventory acquisitions and development. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the process of month end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation and cash flow forecast for inventory spend.  The Senior Accountant will work with Strategic Development and other areas to ensure inventory reporting is accurate and proactively partner with the other business. This role is hybrid in office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote Thursday and Friday.

How You'll Shine:

• Timely accurate recording of inventory acquisition and development journal entries prior to general ledger close in accordance with the corporate closing schedule.

• Timely and accurate preparation of assigned balance sheet reconciliations and month end schedules.

• Responsible for preparing the cash flow forecast for vacation ownership inventory spend.

• Responsible for running and reconciling month end reports related to inventory projects.

• Responsible for uploading project budgets, cost changes, contracts and change orders for inventory projects into PeopleSoft.

• Participate in special projects and assignments as requested by management.

• Proactively partner with Strategic Development and other business teams. 

• Assist with invoice processing and review invoices for inventory projects.

• Assist with quarterly reporting schedules, audit requests and ad hoc financial analysis.

• Assist with procurement invoice processing and billing.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, attention to detail with exceedingly high quality

• Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills

• Knowledge of practices and concepts associated with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Intermediate to Advanced excel skills

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle systems a plus.

• Minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience

Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.
