- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage and maintain corporate general ledger accounting activities.
- Support and assist in the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.
- Contribute to the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Assist in analyzing inventory and cost accounting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
- Implement and continuously improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting systems.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior accounting staff.
- Act as a backup to the Controller and support in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
