Senior Accountant


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic insights to support business objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex financial processes.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations; assist with tax preparation and audits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Liaise with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Support payable (AP) processes, including vendor invoice processing, payment scheduling, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Support accounts receivable (AR) activities, including invoicing, collections, and monitoring aging reports to ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in special projects, such as system implementations, process optimizations, or M&A activities.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$90K–$110K, with final salary determined by experience and level.
