UTA seeks a Senior Accountant to join our top-notch corporate accounting team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented accountant, and has high attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be able to excel in a fast-paced work environment on a high-volume desk.
The salary for this role is $90,000 to 105,000 commensurate with experience and skills.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare journal entries complete with necessary supporting documentation and schedules
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and promptly resolve issues
- Coordinate and request banking transactions with support documentation and approvals
- Evaluate accounts to appropriately determine month end accruals and estimates
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analysis explanations
- Assist with annual financial statement audit requests
- Assist with reviewing and improving general process documentation
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis, as requested
- Assist with special projects, as needed
What You Will Need:
- 4+ years of general accounting experience
- Big 4 or other national public accounting firm experience preferred, but not required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or working towards CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP)
- Entertainment or media industry experience preferred
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and must have strong problem solving skills
- An analytical mind who works in an organized manner with high attention to detail
- Experience with financial & enterprise systems and prior experience with general ledger entries.
- High-energy level and a strong pro-active work ethic. Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate ability to create processes and procedures while working in a very fast-paced environment
