About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall success of Ouro.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Close and Financial Reporting:

    • Lead the capital assets monthly close activities and periodic capitalization reporting deliverables.

    • Prepare month-end journal entries and adjustments with appropriate support documentation.

    • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation.

    • Ability to identify irregularities and properly accrue or adjust.

  • Audit and Compliance:

    • Analyze accounting data in the accounting system to determine if transactions should be recorded as a capital asset on the general ledger and to review and highlight variances, trends, exceptions and discrepancies, taking action as appropriate.

    • Prepare month-end capital asset reconciliations between capital assets and General Ledger.

    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and year end audit support.

    • Interface with external auditors to manage year-end request

  • Process Improvement:

    • Document all month-end close procedures.

    • Help identify ongoing process improvements/creation of efficiencies in the current accounting processes.

  • Communication:

    • Work closely with the FP&A group to ensure accurate reporting

    • Perform ad-hoc management-related requests and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in  accounting.

  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic industry.

  • Ability to train staff and explain processes.
