Senior Accountant

The role is based in our Budapest GSS (hybrid model combining office & remote work). You’ll join a team of agile, customer-focused thinkers who collaboratively solve difficult business problems.
Senior Accountant is responsible for an IFF entities month-end close and Statutory Reporting. You will be working from the Share Service Center in Budapest.

• Mange the month end, quarter end and year end closing under US GAAP following financial standards and procedures of IFF.
• Be responsible of US GAAP reporting following IFF corporate requests.
• Be responsible of the statutory reporting and lead the annual statutory audit activities including reconciliation between US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Review with Corporate Tax on the local tax filing & declarations including corporate Income tax, VAT and all other applicable local tax.
• Coordinate the internal and external audit requests
• Support the tax team on the tax audits and support the country management on various government inspections.
• Be the l contact for insurance matters and contracts.
• Be the partner of the country manager and country leadership team and provide the necessary support for finance and accounting matters.

Requirements:

• Strong computer/systems capability 
• Knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP, Tax principles, statutory and regulatory reporting principles
• Certified accountant is a plus e.g ACCA, CIMA, CMA….
• Good communication and networking skills 
• Consciousness of control and business ethics environment
• Meeting deadline, Drive for results, Problem solving, Customer Focus, Strategic Agility

Qualifications:

• Education: University Accounting, Finance or Economics degree.
• Certified accountant is a plus e.g ACCA, CIMA, CMA.
• Experience:  3 to 8 years relevant experience – Accounting & audit firm experience is a plus
• Fluent English language knowledge, Dutch language knowledge is nice to hav
