ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the COE Accounting Manager, this position will manage global lease accounting in accordance with US GAAP ASC 842 as well as some of the general ledger related tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Managing WD global Lease related accounting tasks per ASC842, including, maintaining and managing lease schedules in Lease Accelerator, manage GL interface from LA to Oracle Cloud, recording lease accounting journals for upload entities and Tank rentals, etc.
• Preparing SEC disclosure notes in accordance with ASC842.
• Analyze BS flux for lease related accounts.
• Performing GL account reconciliation for lease related GL accounts.
• Support local site accounting team in answering lease related technical questions.
• APAC secondary ledger FX revaluation work in Cloud for APAC entities
• Coordinate with regional bank controller on bank information and related accounting function requirement, and work with IT to maintain bank acct information in system.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors through the review process and validation test.
• Assist Accounting Manager and Director with ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications 

Required :

• This position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration with 6 or more years of relevant experience in multinational company or Big 4 accounting firm.
• The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
• An excellent written and verbal communication skill in English is a must. 
• Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people as a team member. 
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, as well to multi-task and meet deadlines. 
• Outstanding performer and obtain recognition in current jobs.

Preferred :

• Experience with Lease Accelerator or similar lease systems is preferred.
• Familiar with Oracle Cloud or similar ERP system.

Skills :

• A professional certification holder (such as CPA, ACCA, etc.) is a plus.
