About the Role

The Senior Accountant will assist with the day-to-day accounting operations at Kinetic Brands and work closely with a collaborative team. As our Senior Accountant, you'll focus on month-end close, expense allocations, intercompany transactions, consolidations, retail/cost accounting, and ensure compliance with GAAP standards. You have strong analytical skills, are a self-starter, and are a master of details who is energized by a fast-paced environment. 

You will

  • Assist with the preparation and closing of the financial books
  • Manage and record intercompany transactions
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Support corporate consolidations, ensuring accuracy across multiple entities.
  • Own audit-ready recordkeeping and reporting
  • Manage full ownership of divisional P&L and balance sheets, including all associated journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Oversee the processing of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), and manage sales tax records and reconciliations
  • Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
  • Assist with the company’s payables and receivables and manage AR/AP
  • Create and implement new accounting processes to improve efficiency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 3+years in retail or CPG accounting
  • Strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting and intercompany accounting practices.
  • Advanced Excel skills with a track record of creating robust financial reports.
  • Experience using Quickbooks Online accounting software
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with respect, privacy, and tact
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and take initiative without requiring supervision.
  • Ability to create and implement new processes in a fast-paced, start-up environment

Work environment
