AutoStore seeks a Senior Accountant at our North American headquarters in Salem, NH.

AutoStore is looking for a dedicated and analytical Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a key player in the department and the region, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the talented global team while managing and owning processes within North America. Our finance team is not just about numbers; they are a collaborative group. In this role, you will be entrusted with various responsibilities. You will be part of a department that is integral to the success of AutoStore, working closely with team members who are passionate about what they do and support one another.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Responsible for financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and policies.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, such as balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate with auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance and accuracy during audits and tax processes.
  • Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding financial results, special reporting, budgeting, etc.
  • Work with external stakeholders to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and features to enhance the department's workflow.
  • Facilitate travel and expense processes, systems, and reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate reporting.
  • Support the payroll team, particularly with multi-jurisdiction state and local taxes, to ensure correct and timely processing through ADP.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; master’s degree preferred.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software. QuickBooks and SAP are a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage stress and deadlines.
