About the role:
CLA is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice supporting our Not-for-Profit industry in St. Louis.
As a Senior Accountant you will:
- Support multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Oversee Staff and manage the accounting function for smaller clients.
- Complete account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals).
- Complete complex account reconciliations (investments, debt, industry specific, etc.).
- Prepare, understand and review financial reports (basic to complex).
- Perform the review of clients' General Ledger, cashflow, allocations, etc.
- Learn and understand the business/organization operations of the client.
- Create process and procedure documentation.
- Assist in Special Projects, such as internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consulting projects.
What you will need:
- 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency and aptitude for applicable software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
- Thorough technical knowledge of accounting software (Quickbooks, Intacct, Xero, Bill.com, Expensify).
- Thorough understanding of the financial operations of industry specific engagements (i.e. nonprofit, health care, manufacturing, etc).
