Efficient and accurate reconciliation of high volume and/or complex balance sheet accounts including maintenance of related spreadsheets, preparation of related journal entries, and review of subledger data. Preparation of monthly recurring journal entries, accruals, and other month-end close processes. Research G/L and subledger related questions and prepare correcting and special request JE’s or other adjustments as required and Accounting and analysis support for employees in other departments. Other duties, including but not limited to, preparing property tax returns based on G/L records, preparing audit work papers as directed and providing backup support in the absence of other G/L group members.
Internal Control Considerations: Oracle General Ledger module as well as other Oracle modules as needed to perform basic job function. This module access will come with varying levels of responsibility and include Fixed Assets, Projects, Cost Management, Cash Management, Receivables, Payables, Purchasing, Inventory, etc. Specific accesses will be determined according to the position filled. Responsible for following all internal control policies and procedures.

Additional Job Requirements:
This is an advanced level position that functions under minimal supervision.
- Prepare and review transactions specific to the area assigned.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, identify reconciling items, and follow up in a timely manner with the appropriate parties.
- Maintain various schedules and coordinate with relevant teams inside or outside of the company to resolve outstanding items.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and imports related to the area assigned.
- Assist GL Accounting Manager in ensuring internal controls are in place as part of our control framework and are being consistently followed and documented.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible general ledger accounting experience. CPA firm experience in an accountant role may substitute for general ledger accounting experience up to a two for one year basis.
- Experience using accounting software, Oracle preferred, and preparing journal entries.
Preferred:
- Telecommunications experience.
- Other telecom industry or job specific certifications.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:
- This position may require access to reliable transportation for occasional travel between retail store locations, offices, worksites, or other locations as needed.
