Senior Accountant 

Position Summary 

The Senior Accountant will serve as the primary accounting contact for customers and vendors while working closely with an existing offshore bookkeeping and accounting team. The role focuses on answering accounting questions, resolving billing and invoice concerns, and coordinating follow-through with the team. It requires strong manufacturing knowledge, communication skills, and general accounting expertise, with occasional hands-on accounting support rather than primary ownership of routine bookkeeping.

Work Setup: Work from home 

Shift/Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Manila Time)

Responsibilities 

• Serve as the main contact for customer and vendor accounting inquiries, particularly through direct phone conversations. 
• Explain and address questions relating to invoices, billing, account balances, payments, and bookkeeping transactions. 
• Review relevant accounting information and work with the existing offshore team to investigate discrepancies and obtain accurate answers. 
• Coordinate follow-up between customers, vendors, and the accounting team so billing concerns and account questions are addressed. 
• Use an understanding of manufacturing workflows, including customer purchase orders, sales orders, work orders, vendor purchasing, inventory, and assembly builds, to understand and explain related transactions. 
• Handle customer payment and collection-related conversations in coordination with the team maintaining the accounting records. 
• Provide occasional hands-on accounting support when needed, while the existing team continues to handle routine bookkeeping and accounting processing. 

Qualifications 

• At least 5 years of general accounting experience. 
• Manufacturing industry experience, with a strong understanding of sales orders, work orders, purchase orders, inventory tracking, and assembly builds. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to confidently handle customer and vendor accounting conversations. 
• Solid general accounting knowledge, with the ability to understand bookkeeping records and explain invoice, billing, payment, and account balance issues. 
• Ability to coordinate effectively with an existing offshore accounting team and follow through on customer and vendor concerns. 
• Ability to learn the company's accounting and ERP systems and understand the information needed to resolve accounting inquiries. 

Preferred qualifications:  

• Experience in a customer- or vendor-facing accounting position and familiarity with QBO, Wave, Bill.com, NetSuite, ERPNext, or similar systems are preferred.  
• Specific US, UK, or Australian offshore accounting experience is not required.
