Senior Accountant

At FTMO, our internal accounting team is a key part of the Finance department. The team manages a portfolio of companies, primarily based in the Czech Republic. With our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced professional who will help us handle the expanding agenda while actively contributing to its further development.

As a Senior Accountant, you will work on the accounting of companies with multi-billion turnover as well as on smaller in-house entities, which you will manage independently with the support of junior colleagues. Thanks to process automation and close cooperation with our top-level IT team, we minimise routine tasks and use smart solutions that make our work both efficient and engaging.

• Independently manage the full accounting of holding companies and manage significant accounting processes of large core companies.

• Be responsible for monthly and quarterly closings (preparation of foreign bank imports, balance reconciliations, internal postings, general ledger postings, intercompany reconcliations, regular account reconciliations, and resolution of open items, accounting of provisions, intragroup charges and accruals).

• Lead and support junior accountants.

• Cooperate on the preparation VAT returns, including OSS filings and documentation for VAT compliance abroad.

• Prepare annual financial statements.

• Maintain fixed assets records.

• Communicate with auditors, including the preparation of supporting documentation.

• Participate in the preparation of consolidated financial statements (supporting documents, reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions).

• Contribute to the creation and regular updates of accounting policies and internal guidelines.

• Cooperate with the Controlling team on the preparation of financial reports.

• Handle ad-hoc tasks in the area of accounting and finance.

• Basic knowledge of the Helios iNuvio or Pohoda system.

• Proficiency in MS Excel at the level of basic functions.

• Independence, attention to detail, logical thinking, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently, seek solutions in a dynamic environment, while maintaining a strong team-oriented approach.

• Friendly attitude and willingness to share know-how and support the development of less experienced colleagues.

• Good knowledge of current accounting and tax regulations.

• Proactive approach to work and motivation for further professional development.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting systems; experience with Helios iNuvio or Pohoda is a plus.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to work with larger data sets.

• Fluent Czech and communicative English.
