ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records.

Own and execute key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries.

Analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts and investigate variances.

Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting.
-
Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP.

Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and other accounting functions as needed.
-
Develop and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
-
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, reporting, and efficiency.
-
Mentor and provide guidance to the staff accountant when appropriate.

Assist the Accounting Manager with annual report filings.
-
Any and all other duties as assigned.

QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in accounting required.

4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment, required.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles required.

Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end close processes required.
-
Strong general ledger, reconciliation, and financial reporting experience required.

Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial analysis required.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
